1.1       Working Principle

Heat is produced with the functions of kneading, friction between the spiral shaft and inner wall of the expander, meanwhile eject in steam to increase flake temperature. Cell tissue of oilseed is destroyed completely inside the Expander. When the oilseed is extruded out of the expander, high pressure and high temperature oilseed is expanded because of sudden pressure-relief. Meanwhile moisture in it is evaporated all of a sudden. Therefore the material becomes microporous structure and the soybean is expanded to irregular, loose and high intensity particles.

In the process of extrusion expansion, enzymes and anti-nutrients are de-activated. This will avoid bad effect to phospholipids from lipoxidase and phosphatidase, reduce quantity of non-hydratable and improve total quantity of phospholipids in the crude oil. Besides, it will improve oil refining effect and improve quality of the finished oil, increase yield of phospholipids and improve the quality.

1.2.6 Improve working capacity of Flaking Mill

In case of adopting expansion process, requirements to flake will be less. So the working capacity of Flaking Mill can be higher.
